Hello, my name is Monica! (she/her) I'm the founder of Find a Third Way. I live in the Midwest and practice on the land of the Kaw/Kansa, Osage, Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, and Kiikaapoi Tribes.
My background is in organizational leadership, and I spent 12 years in a variety of sectors using those skills. A few years ago, I transitioned into a new career as a trauma-informed somatic practitioner. I have expertise and training in narrative focused trauma care and certifications as a Somatic Stress Release™ Practitioner and Trauma Support Specialist.

Let us help you break free from what's keeping you stuck and weighing you down. Our bodies store stress that isn't addressed leading it to feel like heavy baggage. But you don't have lug that baggage around forever. With guidance from a somatic practitioner, your body has the capability to
re-process the baggage into something more manageable.
Without re-processing, the body's capacity to adapt to new challenges begins to diminish and instead gets bogged down by both past and present challenges. A build-up of stress can also lead to chronic pain, fatigue, among other things. Remember, it's not all doom and gloom though; there is hope. Healing is possible.
